“With everything that’s going on, it’s a little scary that it’s coming to an end. It's a bit like blowing up the little cloud that came with this project. We say to ourselves: There will be others, but when? explains the actor, who wants to continue acting for a living.

In addition to the sadness of leaving Félix's character behind, there is also the sadness of saying goodbye to comrades who have become friends. “It's very emotional, we experience and visit very intimate and intense things together and we don't know whether we will have daily access to these people again,” he explains.

Recognition and visibility

The Red Bracelets adventure gave Anthony Therrien reassuring confirmation of his place in what he describes as a very competitive environment.

He thanks season one director Yan England for giving him the role of Felix. “It opened a beautiful door for me, gave me visibility and gave me a gigantic experience.”

Thanks to this character of a young man suffering from cancer, whose leg has been amputated and who has to spend many years in the hospital, the actor sees the disease from a completely different perspective.

“It’s a mega lesson in resilience. This encourages you to put your everyday problems into perspective. It also brings a new respect: you play it and it's tiring, so imagine what it can be like when you experience it in real life,” he says.

Transformations

This role required two hours of transformation every morning, during which his head was completely shaved and makeup was applied to his head and face. Added to this is the preparation of costumes and special effects to simulate Félix's amputation on screen (silicone stump, manipulated wheelchair, prosthesis or even a black or green stocking placed on his leg and then deleted). late at the computer).

“A lot will happen in the last season, it will be difficult, you have to prepare. Felix wakes up from his coma and suffers from survival syndrome as he is shocked by his friend's death. It’s a bit like a rock’n’roll start to the season,” he warns. However, he assures that the series will remain bright, which has always given it its own identity.

Anthony Therrien will also be physically transformed in the sequel to the thriller Lac-Noir (already on Club illico) and in the third season of Cerebrum, which will be released in 2024.
