After a top 10 most powerful Android smartphones for the month of July 2023, the famous AnTuTu benchmark has just published a new list of devices, this time up to date Smartphones launching in August 2023. Not all are equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, as one device also proudly boasts MediaTek’s powerful Dimensity 9200+.

The front runner in August is the new OnePlus Ace 2 Pro from the Chinese manufacturer. This is a high-end smartphone, but does not belong to the main series. This Ace series focuses on performance and the device has achieved this thanks to the manufacturer’s efforts reached 1,648,735 points this month, a record.

What are the most powerful Android smartphones of the month?

In second place we find the IQOO 11S, which was already second last month. This is followed by the RedMagic 8S Pro+, which we expected to take first place. In fact, it is the only smartphone in the ranking that is equipped with it the most powerful Qualcomm chip, the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The latter has the advantage that it can reach up to 3.32 GHz on its main core, while the others have to be content with a maximum frequency of “only” 3.2 GHz. It therefore seems that despite its advantage on paper, it is not always more powerful than its classic counterpart. As a reminder, This is essentially the “For Galaxy” version which was only found in the Samsung Galaxy S23, but was finally made available to other manufacturers in the second half of the year. The current Redmi K60 Ultra from Xiaomi also uses it, but strangely it is not in the top 10. Since Samsung’s smartphones were never suitable for benchmarks due to insufficient internal cooling, it is normal that we do not find them in this list.

Outside the podium we find the iQOO 11 Pro in fourth place, followed by the Vivo X90 Pro+ and its MediaTek Dimensity 9200+. It is followed by the OnePlus 11, the Realme GT5 and the iQOO 11. It comes in ninth place the only foldable smartphone on the list, the Vivo X Fold 2, which unfortunately did not arrive in France. The Find X6 Pro from Oppo, which we have been eagerly waiting for at home, ends up in tenth place.

What are the most powerful mid-range smartphones?

AnTuTu also shared a Top 10 most powerful mid-range smartphones. Above we find the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, the Chinese version of the Poco F5, at 1,148,376 points. It is powered by the popular Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2, which is almost as powerful as the previous generation Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

In second place is the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, equipped with the same chip. As the graph shows, with the latter they are well ahead of the others, all of which are equipped with mid-range MediaTek chips.

The podium is closed by the iQOO Neo7 SE, and then we find smartphones such as the Vivo S17 Pro, the OPPO Reno 10 Pro 5G, the Redmi Note 12T Pro, the Redmi K60E, the Xiaomi Civi 3 and two Ace smartphones from OnePlus. Most of them are not available in France, But if you want the most powerful smartphone in the mid-range segment, you have to go for the Poco F5 from Xiaomi.
