“It’s not okay that there is a genocide and you don’t actively stand against it,” the protester added.

Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's left-wing “squad” lashed out at an anti-Israel protester who confronted her and her fiancé at a movie theater, urging her to call what is happening in Gaza a “genocide.”
Ocasio-Cortez was visibly angry and cursed at the protesters.
“I already said that. And you'll just pretend that's not the case. Again and again. It sucks, man. And you're not helping these people. “You’re not helping them,” she says.
“Why don’t you say it in front of everyone, why in front of us?” one replies.
The protesters continue: “If you can’t say it, just say it.” Literally. We'll just talk to you like normal people. Just say it's genocide. Just say it. Over 30,000 people are dead. AOC, can't you just say that? Just say the word, that's it. That's all we expect from you.'
Roberts tries to dissuade protesters from continuing to follow her as she leaves the theater.
At one point, Ocasio-Cortez rants that they're going to “take what she says out of context” and make it go viral.
Ocasio-Cortez, who is considered the most prominent leftist in the House of Representatives, only expressed criticism of Israel in the weeks after the Hamas terrorist attack on October 7th.
She joined her Democratic colleagues in the hours after the attack in calling for “de-escalation and a ceasefire.” She repeated these claims, criticizing both Israel and Hamas and calling the IDF's military campaign a “war crime.”

Ocasio-Cortez was even criticized for her Christmas post in which she called Israel a violent occupying force and compared Jesus to the Palestinians.
On Christmas Eve, AOC posted a photo on Instagram of a child lying on a pile of rubble surrounded by wooden nativity symbols.
The New Yorker wrote about the photo: “In the Christmas story, Christ was born in what is now Palestine under the threat of a government that was carrying out a massacre of innocents.”
She then compared King Herod's hunt for Jesus to the “right-wing forces” that are currently “forcibly occupying Bethlehem.”
Her post sparked strong backlash online, with some accusing her of “Jew-hatred.”
Ocasio-Cortez's sympathies for the Palestinians were already clear in 2019, her first year in Congress
She claimed that Palestinians had no choice but to riot against Israel – and agreed with a radio host that the country was “criminal”.
