In the western city of Lvov, the country’s cultural capital that until recently was best known for its elegant architecture, war veterans are training dozens of civilians in the use of firearms and grenades.
“It’s hard because my hands are very weak, but I can handle it,” said 22-year-old Katarina Ishchenko.
