Georgia ended a perfect season with a stunning 65-7 win over TCU in the 2023 College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday night and finished #1 in the recent AP Top 25. The poll revealed six consecutive AP Top 3 finishes for the Bulldogs, including consecutive No. 1 finishes.

Despite suffering the biggest loss in a national championship game of all time, TCU moved up to 2nd in the final rankings. Ultimately, the finish for the Horned Frogs is still their best since 2010 when they shocked Wisconsin at the Rose Bowl. Michigan stayed at No. 3 despite losing to TCU in the CFP semifinals while Ohio State stayed firmly at No. 4.

After voting, Washington moved into the final top 10 for the first time since 2016 after battling No. 25 Texas in the Alamo Bowl. Penn State also moved up to 7th after a dominant Rose Bowl win over Utah. Florida State should enter 2023 as one of the best teams in the country thanks to an 11th-place finish and the return of quarterback Jordan Travis.
