The release details are rumored to come from Bloomberg’s Apple consultant Mark Gurman, who wrote in the latest issue of his “Power On” newsletter.

Gurman claims that the Peek Performance event slogan “clearly indicates some increase in speed for Apple devices.”

“This will cover 5G and faster mainstream processors on new iPhones, iPads and Macs,” he says.

However, in this case, a more appropriate spelling would be “peak” rather than “peep”.

“Peek” suggests the event could provide a first look at an Apple product that’s been in development for a long time – perhaps Apple’s augmented reality headset. Apple is yet to comment in response to a MailOnline request.

Peek Performance, which will not have a personal audience, will live on YouTube 6:00 PM GMT (10:00 AM PDT) at Apple Park, Cupertino, California. In the meantime, here’s a rundown of the products that may be coming.

iPhone SE 3

Apple is said to be bringing 5G to its iPhone SE lineup for the first time today.

Gurman said the third-generation iPhone SE “will be the first SE update since 2020 and could help push more iPhones into emerging markets.”

There was no mention of how Apple could deal with the increased battery drain associated with 5G, given that the SE has a smaller battery by today’s standards.

No details on the price of the iPhone SE 3 have yet been discussed, though it's worth bearing in mind that the iPhone SE2 (pictured) was launched starting at £419 ($399).

Ming-Chi Kuo, another Apple product predictor, said that the third generation iPhone SE will have a “similar form factor design to the current SE.”

IN tweetKuo also said that it will come with 64/128/256GB of storage and will be available in white, black and red.

SE is the name of low-cost Apple products – not only smartwatches, but also iPhones.

In 2020, Apple released the iPhone SE 2, four years after the original iPhone SE or iPhone Special Edition was released in 2016.

This series is intended as a more compact, cheaper, and pocket-friendly device for customers who are not used to the larger display sizes of later iPhones.

Pricing information for the iPhone SE 3 hasn’t been discussed yet, although it’s worth bearing in mind that the iPhone SE2 was launched starting at £419 ($399).

iPAD AIR

Another rumor today is that the iPad Air will get an update, also with a faster processor and 5G capabilities.

According to Gurman, the new fifth-generation iPad Air will be on par with last year’s iPad mini.

“That means it will keep the same design as in 2020 but add additional 5G support, an A15 chip, and a FaceTime camera center stage,” he says.

There has been no mention of any changes to the design of the tablet, but since it has undergone major changes with the release of the iPad Air 4 in 2020, the device may not differ too much from its predecessor.

In terms of pricing, the iPad Air 4 costs £579 ($599 US) for the 64GB model, with prices on the rise for more storage, so the iPad Air 5 will likely cost in the same region.

MAX

Gurman also believes that “at least one new Mac” has been announced with Apple Silicon, the company’s own line of in-house chips.

It’s entirely possible that Apple’s M2 silicon chip will make its first debut in the new MacBook Air and updated 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Gurman says: “All in all, we should see a new Mac mini (I was told this one is ready to go), 13-inch MacBook Pros and iMacs – probably as early as the first half of the year.”

In November, Apple introduced its first line of Macs—the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini—with its own M1 computer chip. Pictured Mac Mini

Kuo also said he expects a new and “more powerful” model to be added to Apple’s Mac Mini line of desktop computers.

The latest Mac Mini was introduced as part of the first line of Apple Mac computers based on the M1. revealed back in November 2020.

WILD CARD

Lastly, Gurman said a fourth “wild card” could be revealed, which could be the next generation monitor, the iMac Pro, or the new, smaller Mac Pro.

However, he doesn’t think they will be released anytime soon; rather, it will be a “peek”, which Apple hinted at in the title of the event.

Gurman says, “I don’t believe the new iMac Pro or Mac Pro are ready to go on sale anytime soon, but maybe Apple wants to pre-test at least one of these machines before launching later this year.”

Mark Gurman made a name for himself on Apple’s accurate 9to5Mac leaks and is now a Bloomberg journalist.

Gurman believes that 2022 is also the year that Apple will finally release its long-awaited augmented reality (AR) headset.

Gurman believes that 2022 is also the year that Apple will finally release its long-awaited augmented reality (AR) headset.

Apple Track, a blog that follows Apple rumors “and the sources that publish them,” currently gives Gurman an 85.5% accuracy rating.

As Gurman points out, the tech giant has a lot to announce in 2022.

The company is gearing up for the iPhone 14, more Macs, and three new Apple Watches, including “rugged” watches that are more durable and scratch-resistant.

Gurman believes that 2022 is also the year that Apple will finally release its long-awaited augmented reality (AR) headset.

This confirms Kuo’s prediction, who said that an AR headset with “the same level of computing” as a Mac would arrive in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Apple may release its augmented reality headset next year, according to a Hong Kong insider.

The headset will be released in the fourth quarter of 2022 and will contain two processors, one of which “with the same level of processing power as the Mac,” said Ming-Chi Kuo in a research note provided by MacRumors.

This processor will be “similar” to the M1, Apple’s own computer chip currently used in Macintosh and Apple computers. ipad About tablets.

In the meantime, a second, lower-level processor will manage the “sensor-related aspects” of the headset. However, the processing power of this sensor will be “significantly higher” than that of the iPhone.

Kuo also said that the headset will be able to support both virtual reality (VR) and AR thanks to a pair of Sony 4K Micro OLED displays.

AR overlays computer-generated images on top of existing reality (Pokémon Go is a famous example), while VR is completely virtual.

Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities in Hong Kong, is known for gathering information about Apple’s plans from his contacts in the company’s Asian supply chain.

But, Kuo predicted in June that the launch will take place in the spring of 2022, so it seems that the dates have been pushed back – and may be pushed back again.

In October 2021, Kuo said that Apple’s future headset will also be be wireless and use Wi-Fi 6EThe latest version of Wi-Fi for faster speeds and more connections.

It is possible that the Apple headset will still need to connect to an iPhone or Mac, but this may not happen in a future version of the device.

According to another recent report from Digitimes, citing supply chain sources, the product will cost as much as $2,000 (£1,500).

This report claims that the upcoming headset is likely to be aimed not at consumers, but at developers and business customers.

A more consumer-oriented augmented reality product known as the Apple Glass will be released before 2023 at the earliest and will look more like a regular pair of glasses.

Report for 2019 from Information supports the suggestion that Apple is working on two AR/VR products.

Apple Glass will introduce a digital lens display that complements the environment, such as arrows to help consumers find their destination in cities.

Making Apple Glass look more like regular glasses than a bulky headset could make them more appealing to the consumer market.
