Apprentice star Rochelle Anthony accuses the BBC of “getting dirty” in recent snaps

Apprentice star Rochelle Anthony said the BBC “got her dirty” after she posed for promotional shots for the 2023 final.

The glamorous contestant, 35, who calls herself “the Kim Kardashian of the business world” will battle finalist Marnie Swindells for Lord Alan Sugar’s investment on Thursday night.

The two finalists must start a new business and propose it to Lord Sugar to win his £250,000 investment and become his next business partner.

Sharing the professional snaps on her Instagram, Marnie captioned the post, “Just two women out for a better life.

“We may be in competition at this moment but the truth is I’m in awe of Rochelle. I look at all that she has accomplished as a mother, a business owner and most importantly as a woman and I can’t help but admire her.

“We didn’t always agree and you’ve seen us tussle a few times on the show, but that’s just a testament to our fire. We both know what we want and are ready to fight for it – you can’t hate us for that!

“Of all the candidates, I see the most of myself in Rochelle – the transplant, the urgency and the willingness to do whatever it takes and I can’t wait to share that arena with her tomorrow!

“We started this journey together, let’s finish it together. My day one – let’s do this!❤️’

Rochelle liked the post but said she hated the post-processed photos: “Those pics got us dirty too hahahah. I will upload the ones from my camera xx’

Also under a second photo, Rochelle said of her BBC promotional image: “The BBC image made it look like a whole new outfit.”

Last year’s finalist, Stephanie Affleck, replied, “Dude what you’re doing with your pics is absolutely damn, made me look like a super nanny!”

Rochelle owns The Dollshouse Salon in Milton Keynes and is looking to expand with the investment.

She recently explained that she’s looking for a business partner, not a “sugar daddy,” but admitted the 75-year-old business tycoon’s “good aura” might make some women fall at his feet.

Rochelle told The Sun: “Lord Sugar is the same age as my father and actually reminds me a bit of him so I saw him as a father figure.

“Some women might be attracted to him because he has a good aura around him. He’s a handsome man for his age, but he’s not my type.”

She continued, “I want to be a business partner, I don’t want to be a love interest. I don’t need a sugar daddy.”

It comes after Rochelle shut down five limited companies before appearing in the current series of The Apprentice.

She owns The Dollshouse Salon in Milton Keynes, but things haven’t always been easy for Rochelle as the reality contestant has tried multiple times to find success.

TV personality Rochelle founded Blow & Glow Ltd in March 2019 but just over a year later in 2020 she was handed a warrant, meaning Companies House has likely sought the company’s de-registration.

Blow & Glow officially dropped the following January and disbanded the same month.

In October 2019 Rochelle Ultimate Weave Extensions Ltd registered with Companies House under the name The Invisi Weave Ltd.

It was notified of a forced strike in January 2021 before changing the company’s name and was given another strike in December last year, with the company due to close later this month if no action is taken.

In April 2020 Rochelle registered The Dollshouse Academy Ltd with Companies House and was forced to strike in July 2021.

The delisting action ended the same month and in December 2021 the company was registered as dormant with just £1 in its accounts.

Meanwhile, The Dolls House Hair and Beauty Ltd was registered with Companies House in 2014 before being wound up in August 2021 and The Dolls House Hair Ltd was incorporated in 2014 but wound up by voluntary de-listing in September 2020.

Rochelle told Web: “I have registered several company names in the past, which is not unusual.

“Business is sometimes trial and error to get where you ultimately want to be, and that’s where I am now; with a business that I am very proud to have founded – The Dolls House Salon – and believe in strongly.’

It comes after it was revealed The Dollshouse Salon owes £65,000 and has just £500 in assets, according to Companies House.

The buzz is in stark contrast to the lavish lifestyle Rochelle portrays for herself on social media.

She previously told Web: “As many hair salon owners will tell you, the hairdressing industry has been hit hard by the pandemic.

“I had to close my salon for almost a year. My salon has not yet fully recovered from the pandemic and the new cost of living crisis poses another challenge.

“It’s no secret! I’ve been very open and honest about this on my social media channels and it’s a big reason I applied to The Apprentice.

“I hope to show that my belief in my dream is strong and I will not let that stop me from achieving my ambitions.
