APPROVED! Hayden Panettiere will return as Kirby in Scream 6

Hayden Panettiere just got in the cast of ‘panic 6‘, which opens in theaters on March 30, 2023.

The actress played Kirby Reed in ‘panic 4‘, a Woodsboro teenager who was best friends with the protagonist Jill and ended up surviving two stab wounds.

In the last ‘panic‘ it was revealed that Kirby was alive.

the directors Matt Bettinelli Olpin and Tyler Gillett had already revealed that they wanted to bring the character back since the fifth film.

“We wanted to involve Kirby in some way from the start and spoke to Hayden [Panettiere], but we didn’t want to force her into the film, so we found a place for the character. In a deleted scene with the sheriff, a poster of Kirby behind Jasmine and Mikey is missing. The YouTube easter egg finally materialized as we started designing the site.”

The filmmakers previously revealed their desire for the character to return in ‘panic 6‘.

“We contacted Hayden [Panettiere]. We knew it was going to be a fun Easter egg. We knew there was a big discussion going on online about Kirby’s fate. And she’s always been one of our favorite characters in the franchise. We loved Hayden’s work on the fourth film and thought it would be great fun to show concrete evidence of her survival.”

she joins Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Mason Gooding, Jasmine Savoy Brown and Courtney Cox.

Please note that Never Campbell has already received the script for the new film, but his return has not yet been confirmed.
