Aquaman 2, The Flash and Black Adam delayed, Shazam 2 pushed back to 2022

Warner Bros. made some shuffling of the calendar. Release dates for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, The Flash, Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, DC’s Super Pet League, Wonka, and Meg 2 have changed, and most of them have received significant delays.

The first of the upcoming changes is the postponement of Black Adam from July 29 to October 21. The DC Super Pet League, which was originally scheduled to release on May 20, is moving into the recently freed up summertime.

Perhaps the least unexpected delay on the list is Aquaman 2. The Arthur Curry sequel was originally scheduled to release on December 16, the same day Avatar 2 is set to hit its long-awaited release. Aquaman 2 will now release on March 17, 2023. The Flash is also being pushed back to next year, from November 4 to June 23, 2023.

Despite all these moves, Warner Bros. Don’t give up entirely on December. Shazam has advanced! Fury of the Gods, previously scheduled for release next year, is December 12th.

Finally, in non-superhero news, Warner Bros. announced that it is moving Wonka Timothée Chalamet back nine months from March 17, 2023 to December 15, 2023. The studio also announced the official release date for The Meg 2, the sequel to the basking shark movie that was a surprise box office success. Meg 2 will arrive on August 4, 2023.
