Warner Bros/DC's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom began streaming offshore on Wednesday and has grossed $40.9 million at 73 international box offices with numbers through Friday. This suggests a full overseas opening in the $70 million range. With the three- and four-day domestic events, the global launch will exceed $100 million.
It is abroad United Kingdom debuted Thursday with $712,000 from 1,1994 showings, placing second behind the strong, sustained performance of Wonka. The number is about on par with “The Flash” and 33% below that of the original “Aquaman,” both of which opened on a Wednesday. As of Friday, the UK is at $1.6 million.

In China As of Saturday, the cume stands at $23.2 million (today's portion of which is not included in the international total above). The film has a 9 for Maoyan versus a 9.3 for the original film. Maoyan expects a total of $47 million in the market, which is increasingly weakening towards Hollywood, where a host of local year-end titles will be added next weekend.
The top 5 markets on Aquaman 2 through Friday are China ($13.9 million), Mexico ($3.4 million), Brazil ($1.9 million), Indonesia ($1.9 million) and France ($1.6 million).
Meanwhile, WB/Village Roadshow/Heyday Films' Wonka has surpassed the $200 million mark worldwide, landing at $215.8 million until Friday. The foreign share of this is $151.9 million. Thursday's $7.1 million in 77 markets was on par with the same day last week.
