The father had not seen the child, 5yearold Milagros Nazareth Martin, for months. The mother, Vanessa Mansilla, had told him that she had turned her daughter over to social services because she had no way of raising her. Vanessa has two other children aged 3 and 7.
“Vanessa said it happened one afternoon after she bathed the child.”said a police spokesman. “He went to take a nap and when he woke up he went to see the child and it had already died.”he added, according to Sky News.
