Argentinas new president has vowed to get the Falklands back

Argentina’s new president has vowed to “get the Falklands back” and said it was “non-negotiable” for Britain to hand them over, comparing it to Britain handing Hong Kong back to China

The right-wing former “tantric sex coach” who was elected president of Argentina believes the Falklands belong to his nation and has vowed to “get them back”.

Javier Milei, who communicates with his dead dog through a medium to seek advice on political issues, caused a major upset by defeating Argentine Economy Minister Sergio Massa in Sunday’s polarized presidential runoff.

But continually this continually continually

Milei, a right-wing economist known as “el Loco” – or the madman – who vowed to galvanize Argentina with his victory, said he would “make every effort” to win back the Falkland Islands – but said it would not be because of them go to war.

He insisted it was “non-negotiable” for Britain to hand over the Falkland Islands to Argentina, comparing it to the UK handing Hong Kong back to China.

Argentina believes that the Falkland Islands were illegally conquered in 1833 and invaded by the British colony in 1982. The United Kingdom sent troops and Argentina lost the two-month war over the archipelago in a conflict that left 649 Argentines and 255 British soldiers dead.

Argentina continues to claim the islands, while Britain claims the Falklands are a self-governing entity under its protection. In a referendum there in 2013, 99.8 percent voted to remain British.

Milei stressed during his presidential campaign, in which he turned a chainsaw to symbolically shrink the state, that questions about the future of the Falkland Islands “cannot be ignored.”

He said, “What do I propose?” Argentina’s sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands is non-negotiable. The Malvinas are Argentine.

“Now we have to see how we can get them back.” It is clear that the war option is not a solution.

“We propose to seek a solution like the one England had with China on the Hong Kong issue, and that in this context the position of the people living on the islands should not be ignored.”

“You can’t deny that these people are there.” You can’t ignore these people.

“You have to negotiate with the UK and take into account the views of the people who live on the islands.”

“We are looking for a solution for the return of the Malvinas Islands to Argentina through diplomacy, a solution that is viable and achievable.”

Milei has previously praised former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher as one of “the great leaders in human history.”

These comments were condemned by veterans of the Falklands War, as Thatcher is still reviled in Argentina for ordering the sinking of the cruiser General Belgrano during the 1982 war with Britain, killing 323 people on board.

Milei had previously accused the Argentine government of “a series of mistakes” that had made the situation even more complicated. In April last year he said that if Argentina wanted the Falklands to become Argentine, it would mean “very long negotiations” with Britain.

At the time he said: “Argentina has never created the conditions for the inhabitants of the Malvinas Islands to want to become Argentinians.”

“Therefore, it is an extremely complicated situation in which Argentina has made all sorts of mistakes, which has led to a deadlocked and unclear situation.” So, because of the many mistakes, it is now a counterfactual scenario. It is extremely complicated.’

He added: “If we want the islands to return one day and become part of Argentina, it will require long, very long negotiations in which Argentina will have to propose something interesting.”

“And Argentina is not an interesting country if its own people choose to leave the country,” concluded the lawmaker, who is now the country’s elected president.

Diana Mondino, a close adviser to Milei, said in September that the population of the Falkland Islands – 99.8 percent of whom voted to remain in Britain in a 2013 referendum – “cannot be disrespected.”

Mondino added that Argentina needs to “become a normal country” to convince islanders to seek closer ties.

“How is someone who wasn’t born and raised in Argentina supposed to understand this? [our] Inflation?’ She said. “Why would anyone want to become part of a society – we need to become a normal country and we are an empty country,” she said.

On the UK side, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has ruled out starting new negotiations on the future of the Falkland Islands.

Sunak’s official spokesman said after Milei’s victory: “It is obviously a settled matter, a long-settled issue and we have no intention of revisiting it.”

Following Mr Milei’s suggestion that a new relationship similar to that between China and Hong Kong could be built, the prime minister’s spokesman added: “The Falkland Islands’ position was clarified some time ago and will not be changed.”

With his victory on Sunday evening, Milei left Argentina uncertain about how extreme its policies will be.

In a speech after his dramatic victory, he promised that “rebuilding Argentina begins today,” adding that he would “drain the swamp” to curb the influence of special interests and lobbyists.

Milei, who often disguises himself as his superhero alter ego “General AnCap,” which stands for “anarcho-capitalist,” made a name for himself by angrily denouncing the “political caste” on television shows.

His promise of abrupt, sea change resonated with Argentines, who were fed up with annual inflation rising above 140% and poverty rates reaching 40%. He will take power on December 10th.

Milei, who is also a well-known economist and radio chat show host, has spoken openly about his penchant for threesomes and how he likes to telepathically communicate with his dead dog to get political advice.

He failed to win the first round of voting before the runoff, but finished second to Massa, thanks in large part to the support of young voters who have become so disillusioned with more “conventional” politicians that they have turned to one man, whose most recent biography was entitled El Loco or The Madman.

Milei was politically unknown until a few years ago and was elected to the Argentine parliament in 2021 as a member of La Libertad Avanza (“Forward of Freedom”).

He prefers to describe himself as an anarcho-capitalist, meaning he wants to eliminate as much government intervention as possible and leave everything to the free market.

A previous career as a tantric sex trainer and a GHOST DOG he goes to for advice… the very colorful life of Argentina’s new president Javier Milei

By Tom Leonard

Javier Milei was elected president of Argentina on Sunday evening, along with the extreme libertarian tantric sex guru who has no political experience and is being compared to Donald Trump.

Earlier this year, published an in-depth look at the new leader and his very colorful life, which we reproduced to commemorate Milei’s historic victory…

There is never a dull moment with Javier Milei, the former self-proclaimed “tantric sex trainer” and current Argentine presidential candidate.

In fact, Milei – who is also a well-known economist and radio chat show host – has spoken about his love of threesomes, why he believes poor people should have the freedom to sell their body parts, and how he enjoys doing it via telepathy to communicate with his dead dog for political advice.

The far-right libertarian is also an admirer of Donald Trump – and it shows: The outspoken hothead has quickly risen to fame by vowing to “kick politicians in the ass” and railing against the elite caste that he believes is Argentina governed.

The populist showman and daytime television star, whose frenetic rallies and social media tirades are also reminiscent of The Donald, dismisses global warming as a “socialist lie” and says he would abolish much of the country’s government, right down to the beleaguered central bank.

Argentina has a weakness for extreme leaders, and the country – an economic basket case where the annual inflation rate is shockingly over 115 percent – may be on the verge of voting in its wildest form yet.

Milei just scored a surprise victory in the primary ahead of next month’s election, thanks in large part to the support of young voters who have become so disillusioned with more “conventional” politicians that they have turned to a man whose most recent biography this was entitled El Loco (The Madman).

The far-right libertarian is also an admirer of Donald Trump… and it shows: The outspoken hothead has quickly risen to fame by vowing to “kick politicians up the ass” and railing against the elite “caste.” who, in his opinion, governs Argentina.

Milei, 52, was a political unknown until three years ago and was elected to the Argentine parliament in December 2021 as a member of La Libertad Avanza (“Freedom Advances”).

He prefers to describe himself as an anarcho-capitalist, meaning he wants to stop as much government intervention in people’s lives as possible and leave everything to the free market.

“If I had to choose between the state and the mafia, I would choose the mafia,” he once said. “Because the mafia has codes, the mafia adapts, the mafia doesn’t lie.” And most importantly, the mafia competes.’

His so-called “chainsaw plan” to dismantle the bloated state includes abolishing Argentina’s public health and education systems and closing 10 of 18 government departments.

Milei is also so anti-progressive that he has repeatedly – rather bizarrely – targeted his compatriot Pope Francis, calling him a “damned communist,” “communist idiot,” and “representative of evil on earth.” in brutal social media posts simply because he supposedly supports “social justice” and policies to help the poor.

“Jesus didn’t pay taxes,” Milei memorably tweeted.

His private personality seems to match the public image of an unpredictable eccentric.

At home, he keeps four 200-pound English Mastiffs. All named after famous right-wing economists – and each of them cloned from a fifth, now dead dog named Conan (after the barbarian).

A recent biography by journalist Juan Luis González revealed that Milei studies telepathy in his free time and has a medium to “communicate” with Conan, who died in 2017, and ask him for advice on political matters.

Amazingly, Milei has not denied the claims. “What I do in my house is my business,” he told a Spanish newspaper.

Not that he’s usually that secretive.

Milei, who is single and has never married, proudly says he used to be a teacher of tantric sex – a slow, meditative form of intercourse based on Eastern philosophies in which the end goal is not orgasm but the pleasure of the process is – and that he could be successful for a whole three months without ejaculation.

He has also spoken openly about threesomes.

Still, he called Conan the greatest love of his life, an animal he valued so much that during a financially difficult time he survived solely on pizza so Conan would have enough to eat.

Milei’s younger sister Karina, whom he has vowed to make his first lady if he becomes president, is very fond of the dog.

Sure, this all sounds pretty strange – but if anything, Milei is wallowing in madness.

When a political opponent called him “a disheveled panelist who screams on stage and sleeps with eight dogs and his sister” during a debate, Milei simply replied, “I don’t have eight dogs.”

And then there’s his hair…

As a teenager, Milei sang in Everest, a rock band that released covers of the Rolling Stones. He still acts like a wannabe rock star, strutting around the election trail in a black leather jacket and shaking an unruly mane of thick black hair so strange it’s earned him the nickname “The Wig.”

Hardly flattering – but perhaps an improvement on “The Madman,” a nickname that originated in school.

Milei says he never combs the hairstyle and only his party’s vice president, Lilia Lemoine, an avid cosplayer, is authorized to style it. She also does his makeup: Milei is so vain that he refuses to appear in backlit photos that show his double chin. Ms. Lemoine uses a “contouring” technique similar to that promoted by the Kardashians.

Milei’s absurdity may have something to do with his unhappy childhood. He grew up in Buenos Aires, where his father was a bus driver and later a businessman in the transportation sector. Milei claims his parents Norberto and Alicia were physically and verbally abusive to him when he was young. As an adult, he didn’t speak to them for a decade. “You died for me,” he said.

He reportedly had no friends at school and often seethed in notorious temper tantrums.

He later studied economics, but realized that the dry life of academia was not for him.

Then, about five years ago, he suddenly tried his luck on Argentina’s popular daytime TV talk shows – and producers quickly realized that viewers weren’t getting enough of his insane claims about his sexual stamina and his outrageous politics views could get.

Although he was raised Catholic and reportedly converted to Judaism, his views on abortion are extreme: he wants to ban abortions in all cases except when the mother’s life is in danger.

Although he strongly opposes pro-choice views on pregnancy, he has proposed a controversial “market mechanism” to deal with long transplant waiting lists, arguing that organs are the property of a person to be sold at will could.

He wants Argentina to abandon the peso and adopt the US dollar as its national currency, cut taxes, privatize state-owned companies and eliminate subsidies.

When it comes to foreign policy, he believes his natural allies are the United States and Israel: “I want nothing to do with the communists in Cuba, China and North Korea.”

On the always thorny issue of the Falkland Islands, which Argentina unsuccessfully tried to wrest from Britain in 1982 during the administration of one of its icons, Margaret Thatcher, Milei suggests copying the United Kingdom’s handover of Hong Kong to China in 1997.

He called Conan the greatest love of his life, an animal he valued so much that during a financially difficult time he survived solely on pizza so Conan would have enough to eat. The dog is pursued in Milei's affections by his younger sister Karina (pictured), whom he wants to make his first lady if he becomes president.

“It has to be a solution that is satisfactory.” [the UK]“This satisfies Argentina and the inhabitants of the islands,” he told the newspaper El País.

That sounds refreshingly sensible compared to the cynical saber-rattling of previous Argentine presidents – although a Hong Kong-style handover seems highly unlikely given that the vast majority of the Falkland Islands say they want to remain a British overseas territory.

The people of the Falkland Islands may then be safe from Milei’s rule – but what about their neighboring Argentinians?

Perhaps only a séance with the all-knowing canine spirit of Conan the Barbarian can answer that.
