Intellectuals, journalists and friends of Cuba in Argentina today called for an end to the economic, trade and financial blockade that the United States has imposed on the island for more than six decades.
As part of a global media marathon against these aggressive policies, writer and member of the Network of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity Stella Calloni expressed her solidarity with the Caribbean nation and condemned Washington’s attacks.
The blockade imposed by the US violates human rights and international law. In reality, it is a theater of war that punishes a brother nation that stands out for its solidarity with all the countries of the world, he stressed.
He also urged to meet the demands of numerous countries in the United Nations General Assembly and “put an end to the suffering inflicted on a nation that has fought back heroically for so many years”.
For his part, Leonardo Del Grosso of the Argentine Club of Friends of Cuban Journalists called the US policy genocide and called for its immediate cessation.
