The film, based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, is set to hit theaters.
Director John Chu split the story into two parts, stating on social media: “It became increasingly clear that it would be impossible to summarize the story of WICKED in a single film without doing real damage to it.”
The second part is scheduled to land in November 2025.
