Arizona Stadium has a spot that “blocks 90 percent of the field” with no view of the video board

Is this the WORST seat in the US? Arizona Stadium features a pitch that “blocks 90 percent of the field” and has no video board view, as fans warn others to “avoid the pitch at all costs.”

At yesterday’s Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl, a fan discovered what could be the worst pitch in all of college football.

User @CFBcampustour sent his followers a message about a specific seat at Arizona Stadium in Tucson.

Section 16, row 41, seat 2 was singled out as one to “avoid at all costs!”. for each game played on this site. The Account Owner called it “easily one of the WORST seats in any college football stadium in the country.”

The report claimed the seat had a 10 percent view of the field, with photos showing only a sliver of the end zone could be seen.

The user also pointed out that there is a spot and no view of the video board at all.

The stadium was originally built on the University of Arizona campus in 1929 and has been home to the school’s football team ever since.

The initial capacity of the site was 7,000 people, but over the following years it was gradually expanded and renovated.

The last increase in seating capacity was in 1988 when luxury boxes and a new press gallery were built.

Arizona Stadium’s current capacity is listed as 50,800 as of 2019 — with a previous peak capacity of 57,800 in the mid-1990s.

A rivalry game against Arizona State University on November 23, 1996 set their attendance record of 59,920.

Earlier this year, the same Twitter account found a similarly poor view of Waldo Stadium — home to Western Michigan University. These seats look like they’re tucked away in a corner and have been dubbed the “hockey penalty box.”

Other bad examples include the account found at Ohio Stadium – home of Ohio State University. Down in the Southeast, the University of Tennessee has similar problems.

This year’s version of the Arizona Bowl pitted Ohio University against the University of Wyoming. Ohio was victorious, winning 30-27.
