The film Arlettestarring Maripier Morin, will be released on August 5th.

Directed by Mariloup Wolfe (Jouliks) from a screenplay by Marie Vien (La passion d’Augustin), this dramatic comedy takes us behind the scenes of the National Assembly, where a young woman (Maripier Morin) is given the post of Minister of Culture to bolster the image of the rejuvenate government. Gilbert Sicotte, David La Haye, Paul Ahmarani, Benoît Brière and Anne Casabonne are also part of the distribution.

Arlette will mark a return to the big screen for Maripier Morin four years after the release of Denys Arcand’s latest film, The Fall of the American Empire, in which she starred alongside Alexandre Landry.
It will also be a return to the spotlight for the actress and presenter, who has kept a low profile since she was targeted by Safia Nolin over allegations of sexual harassment and physical assault in July 2020 after taking a break from work during which she did so Maripier Morin notably admitted to struggles with alcohol and cocaine addictions and made a rare public appearance on the red carpet at the premiere of the Aline film last fall.
