ABUJA, 28th April (RHC) Nigerian armed forces have rescued 848 people kidnapped by armed groups in the past three weeks, a military source said on Thursday.
Defense Media Director General Bernard Onyeuko explained that through these actions, the military forces killed 62 extremist elements, including a high-ranking officer, and arrested a hundred radicals.
Military forces also seized the logistics provider of extremist group Islamic State of West Africa (ISWAP), Mallam Abba Lawan, in northern Borno state, the source said.
