The Quebec Thriller Arsenal & Sons did well at the box office on its first weekend in cinemas, rising to 4th place among the most popular films of the weekend.

The new feature film by director Rafaël Ouellet (Truck), released last Friday, grossed $115,787 in the first three days of its release. This is the second-best opening for a Quebec film in 2022, behind -Norbourg, which grossed $168,927 in its first theatrical weekend in late April.
Hollywood at the top
For the second straight week, the Hollywood film Jurassic World: Domination’s dinosaurs took the top spot at the Quebec box office, grossing $786,023. The 6th part of the popular saga has already grossed 2.6 million US dollars in cinemas in the province.
Top Gun: Maverick follows in second place with a collection of $744,416 (for a total of $6.1 million since its release last month). The animated film Lightyear completes the podium with grossing $511,551.
