“Shrek” tells the story of an ogre whose swamp is invaded by fairytale creatures. He then joins his friend Donkey and together they embark on a mission to rescue Princess Fiona.

Known for his shyness and scary looks, Shrek loves solitude and hates having anyone disturb his peace. After sending several creatures into his swamp, Lord Farquaad decides to go to his kingdom to make a deal.
There he is tasked with rescuing a mysterious princess. In his adventures, Shrek has the help of a talking donkey.
He is known to be a talkative and very hyperactive animal. Loves to sing and sometimes tends to annoy those who accompany him. He first appears with a cursed collar.

The character serves as comic humor throughout the film and is one of the most popular in the production. Brazilian artist Hidreley Diao used his image editing skills combined with artificial intelligence to reimagine what he would look like if he were flesh and blood.
The result was quite cartoonish and hilarious while retaining some of its best qualities.
