LONDON – Artur Beterbiev never gives up. That morning in London, all eyes in the restaurant and hotel lobby at Wembley were on the World Champion.
Beterbiev was in a pedestrian square in front of the hotel and engaged in a stunning work session.
Jumps, shadow boxing, juggling, push-ups, sprint races, an impressive spectacle was offered to the privileged.
Then Beterbiev and the team members entered the restaurant and helped themselves to a hearty breakfast. Beterbiev went up to his room with his dishes. It was the time of prayer and rest before battle.
A GLOVE CONTROVERSY
Meanwhile, Me Anthony Rudman and Samuel Décarie went to the arena’s offices to try to resolve an impasse. Clan Yarde finds Artur Beterbiev’s Rival Gloves too harsh. Anthony Yarde wears Adidas gloves. Beterbiev gave Yarde his second pair of gloves.
Yarde’s final decision will be made around 12pm London time.
But it’s still a violation of the rules. The gloves should have been chosen on Friday afternoon.
