According to The Daily Telegraph, Barty, 27, had her eye on the trophy home but died before a buyer in Melbourne snapped it up last week.
Located just meters from the beach, the property is the size of three standard apartment blocks and was originally purchased in 2011 for just $3.15 million.
The owners completed expansion renovations to the site, including the construction of a two-story “adult retreat” adjacent to the main residence.

It comes after Ash and her husband Garry Kissick welcomed their son Hayden in July.
The Queensland native tied the knot with her boyfriend in a private ceremony at a secret location in Queensland in 2022.

She met her husband during a round of golf at Brooklands Golf Club in Queensland in 2016 and they have been together ever since.
Following her watershed moment at the Australian Open in January 2022, Ash sensationally quit the sport when she was at the peak of her powers and dismissed suggestions that she might return to professional sport in the future.
In her memoir, My Dream Time, she recounts how the passionate desire that made her a champion began to wane after her victory at Wimbledon in 2021.
