Astros vs Rangers Live Stream: TV Channel, Watch ALCS Game 6 Online, Prediction, Picks, Pitchers, Odds – CBS Sports

The ALCS is back in Houston for Game 6 on Sunday night after massive fireworks in the last meeting between the Astros and Rangers. In addition to Jose Altuve’s series-changing three-run home run, there was also the clearing of the benches. The Astros lead the Rangers 3-2 in this best-of-seven series. That means they are just one game away from winning their fifth pennant in the last seven seasons. The Rangers need two wins in Houston to clinch their third-ever AL pennant and first since 2011.

preview

This series is poised to become the second in Major League Baseball history in which the away team won all seven games – the 2019 World Series, when the Nationals defeated the Astros, was the first – and it has never been seen in the NHL given or NBA. It would take two Rangers wins, and that’s a tall order against this Houston team. On the other hand, the Astros are vulnerable at home. They posted a 40-45 home record in the playoffs and regular season combined. The Rangers are 6-0 on the road so far this postseason.

Valdez isn’t sure either. After his no-hitter in early August, he had problems – especially at home. In his two playoff starts so far, he has given up 10 runs on 14 hits in seven innings. He scored four runs, struck out a batter, allowed two home runs and committed two errors (in the same play).

Eovaldi, meanwhile, had a brutal end to the regular season but has a 2.29 ERA and 0.89 WHIP with 24 strikeouts against one walk in 19 2/3 innings in his three playoff starts. Oh, and he’s 3-0.

forecast

I’ll stay on topic here. The Rangers get to Valdez, the Astros still can’t hit home in the first innings as Eovaldi strikes out, and the late deficit is too big to overcome. Choose: Rangers 7, Astros 3.
