In a segment of wisdom and humility, comedian, commentator and host Yvan Ponton revealed what keeps him in such good shape as he celebrates his 78th birthday next October.

In fact, it was during a segment taped at Alexandre BeretTo Tower Monday evening that the Quebec icon made excellent confidences in her more than impressive life journey.
Firstly, it was a dream for Barrette to meet the great Yvan Ponton and it certainly showed in the quality of his interview but also in the stars he had in his eyes.

Halfway through his interview, Alexandre claimed to have recently found out that Ponton was 77, and the TVA talk show co-host just couldn’t believe it.

Fascinated and deeply impressed by the figure of the man who enjoys great fame in Quebec, Alexandre Barrette asked him what his “elixir of youth” was.

With humor, Yvan Ponton answered in a very simple way, and his words are nothing but inspirational:
“A matter of energy, Alex, I think […] The people you meet […] Everything, everything, everything is positive. Everything is consistently positive. To be honest, I’ve almost completely disengaged myself from the media, which brings bad news every 24 hours if not every 48 hours […] I noticed that because the pandemic finally brought me a lot, a lot of stress. Latent or underlying stress. I said to myself, “No, I don’t have any stress, I don’t have any. I’m fine,” but basically we all experienced that for a year, two years. I decided to get away from it all and just stay positive and that was it.”

There is no doubt that the wise words of this great man have inspired not only Alexandre Barrette, but all Quebecers for several decades.
