The G7 summit began on Sunday 26 June. Lasts until Tuesday, June 28th. The G7 refers to the largest industrialized countries in the world. These are the US, Italy, Germany, UK, Canada, Japan and France. The presidents of these states meet regularly to discuss important issues.

At this year’s meeting at Schloss Elmau in Germany, for example, talks will be held on the war in Ukraine and the world climate. The Ukrainian president is connected to the G7 summit via video. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU Council President Charles Michel are also present at the G7 talks.
