Atlanta father accused of son rape was accused of another child sex crime 7 years earlier

One of the two Atlanta fathers jailed for raping his adopted sons was accused of luring another 14-year-old boy for sex seven years before a special needs Christian adoption agency gave him and his husband two at-risk young children.

Zachary Zulock was reported to police in 2011 for allegedly luring a 14-year-old boy into his home and raping him.

For reasons unknown, the case was not properly investigated by the detectives involved, all of whom have since retired, and no charges were ever brought. Detectives now working for the department admit their predecessors’ investigative efforts fell short.

Now it is under renewed scrutiny in light of the Zulocks’ recent arrest for raping their own children.

“The 2011 case was handled in a manner inconsistent with today’s current investigative standards, but the CID law enforcement officers at the time have since retired.

“Currently, WCSO investigators are reviewing the case and looking for leads that could lead to further indictments.

“As in all cases, our detectives are diligent and passionate about prosecuting child molesters and will always seek justice for the victim,” a spokesman for the Walton County Sheriff’s Office told Townhall, which released the full story in all today revealed to her terror .

Zachary and his husband William adopted the boys from foster care. The boys, then five and three, had been separated from their heroin-addicted parents and placed in foster homes.

The couple have now admitted raping these boys and filming the abuse between 2019 and 2021.

In 2021, just a year before they were arrested on heinous allegations of sexual abuse, the pair inquired about adopting a two-year-old girl.

The adoption agency they used was All Gods Children Inc, a now defunct special needs agency in Georgia.

It’s unclear how extensive their checks on the couple were before taking the boys in.

A former executive contacted by did not immediately respond to inquiries.

Taking to social media, they told friends the process had progressed “quicker than expected.”

They labeled the day they welcomed the boys’ home as “Caught Day” and posted photos on their relatives’ accounts.

Zachary and William are being held in separate facilities while awaiting their next court appearance.

Zachary is in a maximum security prison where he claims to have been poisoned by other inmates.

Hunter Clay Lawless, 27, and Luis Armando Vizcarro-Sanchez, 25, are also in custody. Lawless told police the Zulocks had offered their boys to him “several times”. He was arrested after downloading a large amount of child porn, which police traced to his Gmail address. Vizcarro-Sanchez is in pre-trial detention on a series of allegations of child sex crimes. Police say the Zulocks also contacted him

In conversations with a relative obtained by City Hall, he said he was suffering from “stroke-like” symptoms after being handed a suspicious drink by another inmate.

He also asked to be released and asked the relative to instruct his attorney that he wanted “an ankle monitor and low bail if necessary.”

William, meanwhile, is in the more comfortable county jail where he was looking forward to the delivery of an origami book.

His main complaint was that he is lactose intolerant and cannot eat prison food.

“I don’t even know a dog would eat those bologna sandwiches. The meat is so inferior. This place is a joke!’ he foamed.

The pair have alternated between confessing some of the crimes to police in interviews and telling the relative the “truth” and vowing to fight the charges and refuse to testify against each other.

City Hall cites conversations between the relative and the couple in which William claimed Zachary was guilty of pedophilia before they met and in which Zachary claimed it was William who first started abusing the boys.

The couple is expected back in court on February 1.

There are lingering questions about how they made their money. Zachary worked for a local bank branch and William worked for a local government department in a customer service center.

But somehow, the two made $7,500 a week.

This number emerged when they were denied a public defender because they were too rich for one.

They also built their “dream home” in an area where comparable homes sell for $900,000.
