ANNOUNCEMENT
The first of the 51 victims of the Russian missile attack was buried in the village of Hrosa in eastern Ukraine. There is a lot of information about how many people have recently lived there. Since the start of the war, the village’s population has declined from 500 to around 300, others say to 100.
United Nations is investigating
“It is not known exactly how many people still live there, but it is clear that with the high death toll, every member of this small community has been affected,” said the press secretary for the United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights.
The United Nations sent an investigation team to Hrosa. The goal is to interview survivors and obtain evidence.
A church service was being held at a cafe in Hrosa when the impact occurred.
“My house is 600 meters from the cafe. I heard an explosion and immediately went there. The entire café collapsed like a cardboard box. I immediately helped with the rescue and looked for my family. I found my father, but not my mother or grandmother,” says a man.
