Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 Episode 1 sub

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 Episode 1 sub isn’t on Crunchyroll yet

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3’s first episode is missing in action. Fans were expecting the subtitled version of the premiere to hit Crunchyroll sometime Friday morning, shortly after the episode aired in Japan, but as of 3pm ET it’s nowhere to be found. The Attack on Titan Twitter account said the subtitled version of the episode was “currently a work in progress,” but did not give a timeframe for a possible release beyond “soon”.

The best anime of 2023 you can watch right now

Don’t wait for a good anime – it’s already here!

Some fans are particularly desperate to jump into the anime’s newest (and technically penultimate) episode, and are turning to a subtitled version created by Google Translate. Of course, Google Translate probably won’t understand the intent of the series or the dialogue involved as well as the official version.

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 will be the end of the series, but it will be released in a very specific and strange way. Rather than releasing a full schedule of standard-length episodes like every previous season of the series, MAPPA, the studio that took over Wit for the final season, has opted to release Part 3 in two separate halves, each of which will consist of just one hour episode. While fans expected the special to air shortly after the Japanese premiere on Crunchyroll since the service was the streaming homepage of Part 1 and Part 2, the company has yet to publicly announce its acquisition of Part 3. Friday’s premiere time was just an estimate from dedicated fans.

Polygon has reached out to Crunchyroll for comment, and we’ll update this post as more information about the episode’s release becomes available.
