The Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) confirms that a 27-year-old man will be charged with attempted murder following the events that occurred last night in the Saint-Sacreate district.
“In an intra-family context,” according to the SPVQ, the suspect is said to have attacked a 60-year-old woman with a knife. According to our information, it could be his mother.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she is being treated for serious, life-threatening injuries.
The 27-year-old is currently in custody and will appear at the Quebec courthouse today.
Yesterday, emergency services were alerted at around 8:05 p.m. to an incident on Rue de Repentigny, near Boulevard René-Lévesque and Holland.
When officers arrived at the scene, they realized the extent of the tragedy and the suspect was immediately arrested on the spot in the home.
