The Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo 2022) is perhaps the city’s most important cultural event. After two years of enforced silence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the fair returns in person to the Corferias facilities in the city of Bogotá.
The FILBowhich will also take place from April 19th to May 2nd will have a rich program that the District Institute of Arts (Idartes) has prepared for the entire public of the capital.
According to a statement by Idartes, there will be presentations of books on dance, cinema, hip hop, astronomy and comics during FILBo.
As Catalina Valencia Tobón, director of Idartes, pointed out that this year from Idartes they want to celebrate “this festival of literature, which is again present in Corferias and is once again reaching bookstores, neighborhoods and libraries. with FILBo in town, the bets that in 2022 there will be, among others, writers such as Alfonso Cruz and Camila Sosa Villada, the renowned director of Granta in Spanish, Valerie Milles, a new small concert in the bookstores of Casa Tomada and the presentation of the book in the wind will give last the end has been started, an anthology of Korean poems and stories”.

The cinematheque at the fair
The Bogotá Cinematheque arrives in Corferias to present two releases: the Colombian Cinema Magazine No. 31 Cinema Experienceson April 21st at 5 p.m. in the Jorge Isaacs room, with a discussion that will include Ana Teresa Arciniegas, Mauricio Vásquez and Felipe César Londoño.

Presentation of Festivales al Parque releases

La Bebeteca for boys and girls from 0 to 5 years old
The little ones also have their place at FILBo 2022, for this reason the Bebeteca in Corferias opens its doors from Tuesday April 19th to welcome the Nidos program of magic, games and art for families, boys and girls from 0 to 5 years old.

Finally, Idartes also announced that 20 public space artists will be present at the FILBo Design and Caricature Pavilion, including cartoonists, cartoonists and human statues, an initiative of the Idartes Arte a la KY program that aims to make the visible and to honor the work of plastic, visual and performative artists who carry out their practices in the streets of Bogota.
