Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron – Ken Block’s new car

Monterey, California – Are you a fan of Ken Block and his over the top videos? Then don’t miss the next one, titled Elektrikhana, coming soon to the web.

Why? Because Ken Block will be driving the Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron. An electrically powered model whose design is inspired by the famous Audi Sport quattro S1 with which Walter Röhrl set a record in 1987 at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb with a time of 10 minutes and 48 seconds.

Designed and built in record time

Paying homage to an achievement of the brand, coupled with its shift towards electrification, you can hardly do better than this Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron, with its striking bodywork and electronically controlled all-wheel drive.

Audi hasn’t revealed any information on its specs for now, but says engineers designed and built the S1 Hoonitron in a record four weeks. In the past, such a project would have taken almost a year. This car is powered by three electric motors, including two for the rear axle, giving it torque vectoring capability.

I had a chance to watch a sequence where Ken Block does a series of donuts (360 degree spins) in a Las Vegas casino, no less! It promises for the rest! Elektrikhana starring Ken Block and the Audi S1 Hoonitron will premiere soon. Stay tuned!
