Audrey-Louise Beauséjour takes another step closer to her American dream by participating in the creation of Remain 2nd placea musical that was pitched to Broadway producers earlier this week.

“We did two readings for people in the industry and recorded the demos. It’s a really great experience! And it’s a real chance to be the first to matter… It’s crazy! » She Breathes met during rehearsals for the musical show 7 in Montreal.

Written and composed by Israeli artists Oren Lok and Rinat Tsodyks, the show tells through theater and song the struggles of two couples of different ages who want to move from the city to the suburbs and vice versa. The creators recently arrived in the Big Apple hoping to give their project wings with the help of North American artists and investors.

“It’s a comedy, but there are extremely touching moments. We are talking about addiction, broken family ties, friction in couples… in short, very current problems. “I laughed as much as I cried,” sums up Audrey-Louise Beauséjour.

It was Audrey-Louise Beauséjour’s professor at the New York Film Academy who recommended the Quebecois for this project, which brought together experienced actors: she shared the stage with Gaelen Gilliland (Wicked), Jonathan Raviv (The Band’s Visit) and Joseph C .Townsend (Hairspray). ).

However, this is not Audrey-Louise Beauséjour’s first professional experience in the Big Apple. Four years ago, she starred in an off-Broadway production of “Sweeney Todd: The Evil Barber of Fleet Street.”
