Research by the Real Time Big Data Institute conducted between November 16 and 17 shows that 77% of Brazilians disagree with President Lula’s statements comparing Israel to the terrorist group Hamas. Nevertheless, he persists in the follies. He has already started his third term and speaks with the arrogance of someone who won with more than 80% of the vote (and no less than 2%). And he continues to speak as if it is supported by 80% of Brazilians and not less than half as another poll, that of AtlasIntel, published this week shows.
Lula’s speech calling Israel terrorists was the last straw. It sealed his fate in the eyes of the planet’s civilized nations. He made a decision: party for the autocratic axis against liberal democracies.
No, it is not just the fluctuations towards Hamas and the hostile attitude towards Israel that demonstrate Lula’s decision.
This shows the Brazilian government’s untenable attitude towards the invasion of Ukraine by Putin’s dictatorship.
This is signaled by his selfconfident manner in appearing close to the Chinese dictator Xi Jinping and his party’s rapprochement with the Chinese Communist Party.
His (not new) relationship with the Iranian theocracy is evidence of this. This is demonstrated by his defense of the Cuban dictatorship as well as the Venezuelan, Nicaraguan and Angolan dictatorships.
