Austin Majorswho used to be a child star of popular American series, died last weekend at a homeless shelter aged 27 in Los Angeles.
The young actor was known for playing little Theo Sipowicz on the series NYPD Blue for five seasons between 1999 and 2004. He has also appeared in other hit fiction like NCIS and How I Met Your Mother.
As confirmed by TMZ, a source with direct knowledge of the circumstances of his death said there was no suspicion of a crime, although the actor may have been in the moments leading up to his death a lethal amount of fentanyl.
The actor’s family issued a statement following his death, describing Austin as “A loving, artistic, bright and friendly person“. The letter, which his relatives shared with Fox News Digital, also said: “Austin lived his acting career with great enthusiasm and pride. His goal in life was to make people happy.”
Majors died Saturday from causes that are yet to be determined, according to the Los Angeles County coroner in charge of the investigation. Kali, the actor’s sister, announced the sad news of his death through a social media post yesterday. “My older brother Austin is dead. He died last night. It’s still so surreal to me. He was only 27 and still had a long way to go‘ he said after his departure.
