Australian supermodel Jordan Barrett baffles viewers when he uses a bizarre British accent in a new Hugo Boss commercial
Australian supermodel Jordan Barrett has swapped his Australian accent for a bizarre British accent in a new Hugo Boss ad.
Filmed in a London pub, the Byron Bay-born catwalk star seems to be trying to sound like a local while eating chips and playing darts at the bar.
Though he describes himself as an “outsider,” Jordan has a distinctly English edge when he praises the atmosphere of the city’s pubs.

“The atmosphere in a London pub is a lot more boisterous and, you know, there’s a lot more jokes. I mean maybe it’s more fun for me as an outsider?’ he says in the clip.
After Boss posted the commercial to her Instagram page, many compared Jordan to the British version of American comedian Theo Von.
Some even questioned Jordan’s nationality, asking, “Isn’t he Australian?”

Another said the runway model had “changed”, while others unfamiliar with Barrett assumed he was born and raised in the UK.
“Jordan Barrett? You mean Brit Theo Von,” one person joked.
Someone else said he looks more like a “British Tom Brady,” referring to the famous American NFL star.
Jordan has been spotted in London several times this year collaborating with Hugo Boss.
After Boss posted the ad on her Instagram page, followers questioned Jordan’s nationality, asking, “Isn’t he Aussie?”
The new ad comes amid speculation that the Australian-born model has quietly split from husband Fernando Casablancas after they wed in Ibiza last year.
Chron Australia can reveal that the couple has stopped following each other on social media and have both stopped wearing their engagement rings.
A close friend hinted that things may have ended on bad terms and the couple “stop talking”.
Jordan has declined to comment on their split.
