The actress also recommended not to emphasize the gifts or food offered and not to mention family disputes.

Ellie recently shared some of the troll comments she received via her Instagram DMs after listing 118 reasons why she doesn't want kids.

She posted a screenshot of a message she received on Instagram Stories that read, “You will most likely die alone too with no one by your side.”

Ellie replied, “What’s stopping you from dying alone?” Lol, having kids isn’t insurance against loneliness. For heaven's sake, get some friends.

Appearing on The Project, the Australian reality star said she wasn't bothered by the anger and felt it was important for women to openly discuss the issue.

“I think the backlash that comes with someone being so honest and open-hearted is frightening for people,” she said.

“I found it very strange that people aren't talking about it, but look what's happened in the last 24 hours since I shared that list and it's literally been on every major news outlet in Australia.”

“The backlash that comes with it, the vilification and judgment, I find frightening for a lot of people.”

Despite the criticism, Ellie sticks to her guns in hopes of helping other women.

“I've been called all sorts of things throughout my career and that's like water off a duck's back for me. “But for a lot of people it's very scary,” she said.

“So if I'm the person who has a voice and makes people feel seen and heard who feel the way I do, then that's amazing.”

The actress said she was inspired to create her own list after seeing TikTok user Girl With The List go viral on the video platform with her own collection of reasons.

Ellie had previously broken her silence over the backlash she received over her controversial list.

The 32-year-old divided the internet after sharing 118 reasons on Instagram why she doesn't want to have children.

What followed was a wave of hatred against the actress.

“I've already received hundreds of direct messages criticizing me and telling me how much of a terrible and broken person I am. “But many of these fears/thoughts ARE real,” she told Mamamia.

“They resonate not only with me, but with so many other women.” “A lot of them are little things that contribute to a much bigger picture.”

She added that the messages she received challenging the list only strengthened her resolve as they showed that some people felt threatened by others choosing an alternative lifestyle.

“They further illustrate my main idea: people are sold a certain life, and when they see others choosing a different path, the frustration lies with themselves.”

Ellie then said she also received several positive messages from fans praising her for expressing her desire to remain child-free.

“It was nice to read hundreds of comments from people who felt seen, from people who have also experienced uncomfortable moments where others have questioned their choices and that has only made them feel terrible or felt uncomfortable,” she said.

The Australian model and actress sent her followers into a frenzy after posting the list on social media.

The reasons she listed included hair loss after birth, the baby may poop inside you, your vagina will be different, your house will never be tidy, childbirth can cause rectal prolapse, and you miss out on things you love to do.

“While some of the things on my list are satirical, many are serious and factual. “The social pressure when it comes to this issue is really questionable and, in my opinion, unfair to those who think differently,” she said of the list.

“Very rarely do we see a voice supporting this because let’s face it, the public backlash can be too much,” the influencer added.
