Australian naturopath Georga Holt: This is what my fridge looks like and why I love The Beauty Chef

A leading naturopath has shared a glimpse inside her fridge — and shared the food philosophy everyone should follow.

Melbourne-based Georga Holt is a digestive health expert with particular knowledge of food intolerance, acne and hormonal breakouts, eczema and hormonal issues.

The sought-after holistic expert has now opened up her fridge and shared her favorite dishes, non-negotiable foods, beauty routine and secret weapon for gut health.

Georga, who believes in less is more when it comes to wellness, told The Beauty Chef that her nutrition philosophy is simple: let your body tell you what it wants/needs.

“Don’t let social media influence what you should eat to be the ‘healthiest’ version of yourself. “Trust your body — it’s pretty smart and will tell you what it needs,” she said.

  • Emma Lewisham Supernatural Night Cream

When it comes to cooking, Georga says her favorite thing to eat is a coconut-red lentil soup, while her grocery shopping includes a slew of fruits, veggies, proteins and fats to ensure her fridge is stocked to keep her body fueled all week about to supply.

When it comes to snacks, she can’t get past fruit paired with nut butter or yoghurt.

However, she will never eat oysters as she has never been a fan of them.

“Even though I know how good they are for us, I just can’t bring myself to do it,” she said.

“I mix and match depending on how much time I have, but I love shopping at our local grocer Psarakos.” It has everything you need and it’s well-sourced. “It’s a fruit and vegetable store, a baker, a butcher, a florist and a nut store,” she said.

“My ritual is to shop on Saturday mornings.” However, living in the city allows for a little stop on the way home from work for little things that enrich our dinner. “So realistically I’d say I’d be at the grocer every day to satisfy unplanned cravings.”

“I’ve always been a glow lover.” I think I’ve been taking it for maybe two years now. I love the versatility it brings to my health; “The antioxidant status is not only an amazing benefit for my skin, but also for my internal health,” Georga said.

“In the winter, I also take Glow and Collagen together as a little after-dinner or mid-afternoon treat.” “In the summer, I love the Glow in yogurt paired with chia pudding.”

Georga also supports her body during the colder months with omega and zinc supplements to hydrate and support skin cells and always drinks plenty of water.

“People often forget or underestimate the power that water has for our health. “It’s a given to drink two or three liters a day,” she said.

“And of course I make sure I’m getting protein in every meal to help stabilize my blood sugar levels and fuel my body.”

To strengthen the immune system, she also swears by lots of exercise, whole foods and sleep.

“A naturopath’s daily ritual for winter consists of staying hydrated, exercise, nutritious meals, minimizing stress, sleep, and supplements,” she said.

“A wholesome diet supports every aspect of your health by reducing inflammation and preparing the body for success.”
