Overcome projections, the sequel ‘Avatar: The Way of Water‘ behaved $24 million on New Year’s Day in the US which is the thirdhighest sales for that date in film history.
The function is second after ‘Star Wars The Force Awakens‘ ($34.3M) and the first ‘avatar($25.2 million). In addition, the numbers represent the highest New Year’s collection on North American territory since the pandemic began, surpassing the “SpiderMan: Never go home‘ ($23.1 million).
The film has already scored in the US $440.5 million. in the international market, $956.9 million.
All in all, the production is increasing impressively $1.39 billion which represents the 14th highest worldwide box office grossing in the history of cinema. In addition, the film must include the entire collection of ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron‘ ($1.4B) and ‘frozen 2‘ ($1.45 billion) next week.
