20th Century Studios released this Monday (9) the First official trailer of Avatar The Water Way, a sequel to the film that was released in 2009. As already announced by the critics, the video does not give many details of the plot, instead highlighting the incredible scenarios of Pandora and additionally giving a “small” impression of the quality of the visual effects. The story of Avatar 2
In the story, Jake and Neytiri must face an old enemy to protect their family. “Jake Sully lives on the planet Pandora with his newly formed family. When a familiar threat returns to finish what was previously started, Jake must work with Neytiri and the army of the Na’vi race to protect their planet.”
Some of the original cast, including Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang, will return to the production. New faces include Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi and Kate Winslet.
It’s worth noting that if the sequel is successful, the franchise should win three more films to be released in 2024, 2026 and 2028.
Avatar The Way of Water hits theaters on December 16th.
