After more than two years of relationship Singer Avril Lavigne has decided to end her relationship with musician Mod Sun and called off their engagement. The two got engaged in Paris last year. Reps for the “Sk8er Boi” singer confirmed to Page Six that she was the one who called off the engagement.
However, according to TMZ, the split seems to surprise Mod Sun. “They were dating three days ago and engaged when he went on tour so if anything has changed it’s new to him.”said the musician’s representatives to the outlet.
According to reports the ex-partner had had problems in the past few months, which forced them to break up and reconcile several times before eventually ending the relationship. However, it appears to have been an amicable split as both still follow each other on social media.
Did Avril Lavigne Cheat on Mod Sun?
The news comes just days after Lavigne hit the Nobu in Malibu, California, with rapper Tyga over the weekend. Multiple sources told TMZ at the time that Lavigne and Tyga had been hanging out a lot lately, but it was unclear if they were.

But according to media reports infidelity was not the reason for the separation. This would be the singer’s third marriage. Lavigne split from Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger in 2015 after two years of marriage. She was also married to SUM 41 frontman Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2009.

Both got engaged in April 2022 in Paris after a year of relationship. “Yes! Love you forever. Sunday March 27th, 2022,” Lavigne shared in a marriage proposal at the time, while Mod Sun added in the comments, “Love you so much! Forever my angel.”
