According to journalist Luiz Bacci, what is known so far through preliminary information is that the property was not broken into, but unlocked with the password itself. That means the bandits would have faked the crime scene. The first images from the surveillance cameras show the criminals in the garage on the first floor of the condominium. They entered with their faces covered, with hats and apparently with protective masks against Covid19. After that, the thieves follow the stairs straight to the fourth floor where Carlinhos Maia and her husband live.
Also according to new information from the moderator of Cidade Alerta, another curious detail that leads the police to believe that it is a gang specialized in robberies in the region is the fact that some of the cameras became blurred during the invasion. The last video recording shows the bandits leaving the condominium also jumping over the wall without ever being stopped by anyone.
Investigators initially worked with investigations into people unrelated to Carlinhos, but everything changed after the fake breakin was discovered. Police are still investigating and the column is closely following updates on the case.
