Bachelor alum Lauren Bushnell Lane is following in the footsteps of another reality star – Kylie Jenner.
The 33-year-old influencer announced that she has legally changed the name of the newest member of her family, her almost 1-year-old son Baker Weston Lane.
Lauren revealed she changed her child’s middle name from Weston to West, which she described as a “Kylie Jenner moment.”
Kylie, 26, also famously changed the name of her second child, son Aire, after originally naming him Wolf.
When she announced her child’s new nickname on Instagram, she explained how she and her husband spontaneously decided on their child’s middle name while in the hospital.

“I just dropped off Baker’s name change form at the Vital Records office, but I just had a Kylie Jenner moment, you know, changing my son’s name,” she explained to her followers on her Instagram Stories on Friday, according to Us Weekly.
She clarified that they only changed her child’s middle name and his first name remained the same.
‘[It] “When it was Weston, we actually panicked at the hospital because we just couldn’t decide, and it was between West and Weston, and we ended up choosing Weston,” she said.
Lauren explained that the new name better suited her child and that her family already called him “West.”
“But Baker is such a Baker West and that’s what we call him.” Dutton calls him Baker West, I call him Baker West [and] Like his personality was so much more West than Weston, so now he’s Baker West.”
Luckily for Lauren, changing her child’s name was painless.
“It’s super easy if you want to change your child’s name and they are under 1 year old. Very easy, I only had to pay $15.” “So new name: Baker West,” she added.
Lauren previously told Us Weekly that her child’s name was on a list of baby names she made on her phone.

“I had one of those running lists that a lot of women out there probably have on my phone with baby names. Baker was there. I don’t know. Personally, I don’t actually know anyone named Baker except [football player] Baker Mayfield,” she previously told Us Weekly.
However, she and her husband Chris Lane insisted they did not name their child after the football player.
Lauren and her husband Chris, a country singer, have been married since 2019 and have two children together.
Lauren and her husband welcomed Baker on October 22, 2022. Baker was born a little over a year after his big brother Dutton, who arrived on June 8, 2021.
The reality star rose to fame after winning Ben Higgins’ heart on The Bachelor in 2016. They got engaged on the season finale and dated for two years before calling it quits.
