In addition to the series already offered on Club illico, Sorcières is the only new fiction of the fall on TVA and is about three sisters who grew up in a commune founded by their father and meet again after 30 years. A naked baby discovered at the foot of the waterfall causes consternation and an unprecedented investigation in the region. We can imagine the worst. Starring Céline Bonnier, Noémie O’Farrell and Marie-Joanne Boucher, for whom it is the first leading role since Providence.

I loved the first season. Piérard-Dansereau’s writing trio returns with new characters, but still with the investigator Juliette Michaud (Anick Lemay) and her partner Thomas (Jean-Nicolas Verreault) who will play a crucial role. This time we are interested in a group of people in their mid-thirties who have settled on a farm and are self-sufficient. Thomas, who spends the time observing them, is convinced that there is a drama unfolding within the group. Six episodes, perfect for anyone who likes short series.

The fourth part of this anthology series, which has been showing on ICI Tou.tv Extra since February, seems to be all about getting Jessy (Pier-Luc Funk) back into crime after his release from prison. However, he dreams that his parents (Patrice Robitaille and Évelyne Rompré) can get back together and afford a decent life. The Plan B agency will allow him to experience a semblance of happiness until reality catches up with him.

Thursday, September 28th, 8 p.m., VAT
After the stage, cinema and television fiction, Martin Matte will have his own talk show. Ten hour-long shows are planned this season. The comedian posted on social media an excerpt from an interview with Fabien Cloutier in which the guest has to read out prepared answers from the authors, and it’s hilarious.

Thursday, September 14th, 9 p.m., Noovo
An unconventional policewoman (Penande Estime) takes four young people under her wing who would otherwise be at risk of crime after they find themselves in a violent environment. Agent Maxime Salomon wants to get her back on the right path using martial arts. In this series by Mara Joly you will get to know new names, including France Castel, Marilyse Bourke and Stéphane Demers, as well as several from cultural minorities.

There will never be too much variety on our television. Supported by the Valaire Orchestra, Pierre-Yves Lord leads this Friday evening party, which will feature a number of well-known and lesser-known artists from Montreal’s Plaza exit. It’s going to be wild!

The series, which aired last February on Club Illico and commemorates the 2013 tragedy, is now coming to TVA. Created with the utmost respect for the victims’ families, the work depicts citizens helpless under the force of the explosion and heroes who risked their lives to rescue them from the flames.

What was Jacob (Lou-Pascal Tremblay) doing in François’ apartment on the evening of his death? That’s the question all STAT fans have been asking themselves since the spring. Don’t count on author Marie-Andrée Labbé to give you the answer without cutting you some slack… or more! In the first episodes, David Boutin plays comedian Louis-Jean Marchand, who finds himself in the emergency room after losing control of his vehicle. Two new important characters will appear in the fall.

Another anthology series in which we start the second season with new characters. This time, investigator Geneviève Lanctôt (Julie Le Breton) supports a young colleague (Alice Moreault) who made a serious mistake by shooting a witness. The cast of this Joanne Arseneau series also includes Pierre-Yves Cardinal, Patrice Godin, Kathleen Fortin, Normand Daneau, Pierre-François Legendre and Hubert Proulx.

One guest, four surprise interviewers. Jean-René Dufort, for example, will see Marie-Soleil Michon, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, Pierre Houde and Pierre-François Legendre parading in front of him. The host of Infoman will make very personal revelations that we have not heard from him anywhere else. Anne Dorval, Pier-Luc Funk, Louis-José Houde and several others will play the game.

One of the nice surprises of 2022. Sandrine Bisson shines in the role of a woman who has to take over the management of the family farm after the death of her husband, despite the strong resistance of her in-laws. We still don’t know if Maxime (Mathieu Baron) died in the attack that marked the end of the first season. The return of Me Legrand (Martin-David Peters) to life makes more than just people happy. We already know that Guy Jodoin will play a former police officer grieving the loss of his son and that Roxane Bruneau will make her acting debut. Benoît Brière, Lynda Johnson, Marie-Hélène Thibault and Ingrid Falaise will also appear in the credits.

If you haven’t seen it on Club illico yet, this is your chance to catch Xavier Dolan’s five-part miniseries based on the theater work of Michel Marc Bouchard. Thirty years after disappearing into the wilderness, Mireille (Julie Le Breton) returns to her home village to embalm her mother. Old grudges resurface with his brothers, played by Éric Bruneau, Patrick Hivon and Xavier Dolan. The series received 12 Gemini nominations.
Disobedience: Chantale Daigle’s decision

A powerful, necessary work, carried by excellent performers, starting with Éléonore Loiselle in the title role and Antoine Pilon in that of Jean-Guy Tremblay. Director Alexis Durand-Brault couldn’t better bring to screen a crucial episode in our modern history: the right to abortion as opposed to the right of the fetus. Everyone should watch this six-part miniseries, available on Crave since March.
