Bad Bunny took on “Saturday Night Live” head-on, addressing skeptics who questioned his ability to host the NBC sketch show. The global superstar wasted no time during his monologue in countering critics who said he doesn’t know the English language.

“People wonder why I can’t host this show because English isn’t my first language,” Bad Bunny said. “I don’t know if they know, but I do what I want. I can host this show in English. I can order McDonald’s in English. I can have sex in English. But I prefer sex in Spanish because it’s simply better.”

Bad Bunny then switched to Spanish and gave a greeting to “all Latinos in the world and especially to those watching me live in Puerto Rico.”

As he continued speaking in Spanish, the Puerto Rican star saw that the on-screen subtitles said “SPEAKING IN NON-ENGLISH,” a reminder of the controversy at the Grammys where CBS had no subtitles that included “Bad Bunny.” translated singing in Spanish.

Bad Bunny then recruited a friend to help him complete his monologue and reached out to Pedro Pascal, who hosted SNL earlier this year.

“During a monologue, I always find it appealing to make a self-deprecating joke,” Pascal advised Bad Bunny. “It’s like a joke you make about a part of your body or face that’s unflattering.”

Bad Bunny hit back and said, “I don’t have any.”

Pascal then advised: “The audience loves it when you show an embarrassing photo of yourself.” The presenter then showed a photo of himself in a sexy photo shoot where he was only covered by a towel.
