The Baile do Menino Deus will be 40 years old in 2023 and has been taking place at Marco Zero for 20 years. The lectures always take place at 8 p.m. and admission is free.
The show tells the story of the birth of Jesus Christ with the accent, dance and music of the Northeast. This year José will be played by Caique Ferraz from the group fulniô based in Águas Belas in Agreste de Pernambuco.
This ethnic group is one of the few in the country that has retained its native language. Born in Flores, Sertão, the actor has a strong connection to indigenous traditions and actively participates in secret and sacred rituals promoted by the original population.
Maria is performed by Laís Senna, a black actress, singer and songwriter with recognition and recognition at artistic events across the state.
This year, artists such as singer Almério, maestro Forró, Okado do Canal dancers and 10yearold percussionist Luan Rian will take part in the show.
