Warner Bros.’ Megahit “Barbie” has reached another box office milestone: it overtook Marvel’s “The Avengers” to become the 11th highest-grossing film of all time at the domestic box office.
The popular film, starring Margot Robbie – who took part in a picket line in West Hollywood last week in support of the SAG-AFTRA strike – grossed $3.9 million at the box office.
This brings the film’s domestic total to $626.1 million, overtaking Marvel’s “The Avengers” ($623.3 million) and making it the 11th highest-grossing domestic box office.
The film only needs $27.2 million domestically to overtake Jurassic World ($653.4 million) and enter the top 10 domestic box office charts of all time.
While it’s unclear if they have enough left in the tank to make the domestic top 10, the film has already staked its claim as the highest-grossing film in Warner Bros. history.
