She will appear in the glamorous world of Barbie, starring alongside Oscar-nominated stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling in Greta Gerwig’s live-action version of the iconic Mattel doll.
And it looks like actress Hari Nef will be a welcome addition to the hot project after showing off her unique style and turning heads in a striking metallic ensemble on a Wednesday night in West Hollywood.
The breakthrough transgender model and author, who was last seen in the Sex and the City revival And Just Like That…, attended a fashion dinner to celebrate the new collaboration between JW Anderson and Tom of Finland.

The 29-year-old actress, who posed at the West Hollywood Edition, wowed in her one-of-a-kind ensemble, which included a large sequined silver sash and a tiny metallic tube top.
She completed the look with a pair of slouchy jeans embellished with metallic studs that matched the theme.
Hari poked fun at her bold choice and wrote about the outfit on Instagram, quipping, “People in LA are really nice when you wear outfits like that because they don’t know what to do.”

It’s been revealed that alongside Australian star Margot, who plays the title character, Hari and actress Issa Rae are also rumored to be playing different versions of Barbie in the film – although plot details are being kept under wraps.
At the event, Hari mingled with guests including musician Orville Peck, designer Zana Bayne, and Durk Dehner and SR Sharp from the Tom of Finland Foundation.
The late Touko Valio Laaksonen – better known by his pen name Tom of Finland – was a Finnish artist known for his stylized, heavily masculinized homoerotic art.
Hari poked fun at her bold choice and wrote about the outfit on Instagram, quipping, “People in LA are really nice when you wear outfits like that because they don’t know what to do.”
Some of his famous and iconic images appear alongside CULTUREEDIT in a new capsule collection by fashion designer Jonathan Anderson.
Finland’s figurative pencil drawings were transferred to ready-made items, including T-shirts, oxford shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and other leather goods.
Meanwhile, Hari began her promising acting career with a plum role on the Amazon TV series Transparent.
Speaking about the role in 2015, Hari said she “couldn’t be happier” to have landed a role on the show.
“Acting was always what I wanted to do, but now that’s all [is coming to] Bear fruit, it was really fun,” she said.
