The case reporter considered that “images lack good manners or involve a violent/unsafe act”. According to them, this violates the recommendations of Section 11 of the Conar Code.

What Conar says when he vetoes the Barbie trailer in theaters

The agency states that the allegations against the Barbie movie trailer in national theaters “are aimed solely at publicity.” In this sense, the Council team points out that “the production is an artistic work and is therefore outside the scope of the Code”.
