Quebec’s Édouard Julien is back with the Minnesota Twins after a very good World Baseball Classic and quickly returned to good results in Friday’s major leagues preseason game.

The 23-year-old helped his team to a late 6-4 win over the New York Yankees in Tampa, Florida. With his team trailing 4-1 in the eighth inning, Julien inspired his teammates with a long solo ball, his third of camp.
On the next round of batting, Armani Smith completed the lead, then Emmanuel Rodriguez put the Twins ahead for the first time with a three-run homer.
Julien ended his day with two hits in four appearances on the record.
The Twins pitchers were able to completely muzzle Aaron Judge at the bat. The Yankees managed just five hits from the safe, in part due to the brilliance of Japanese gunner Kenta Maeda.

The Toronto Blue Jays take on the Philadelphia Phillies early tonight in a formation that could resemble their first regular-season clash in a week.
The Queen City team have confirmed that Alek Manoah will be the starting pitcher for next Thursday’s opener against the St. Louis Cardinals. Last year, Jose Berrios launched the Jays’ campaign on the hill.
Manoah will be entering his third season in the major leagues. He had quite the 2022 with a 16-7 record and a 2.24 ERA. The 25-year-old Floridian, who was invited to the All-Star Game, finished third in the race for the Cy Young trophy at the American.
