Good news for fans of bayonet ! On the occasion of a new Nintendo Direct which took place on Wednesday 8 February 2023, Shinya KatahashiGeneral Manager of the Japanese manufacturer’s Entertainment Planning & Development Division, unveiled a brand new trailer for Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, prequel to The Adventures of the Umbra Witch. A software available since March 17, 2023.
Bayonetta Origins – Cereza and the Lost Demon trailer for Nintendo Switch:
A game already mentioned in the past, this one was officially announced on the occasion of the Game Awards 2022in December 2022, from Nintendo And platinum games.
Synopsis of Bayonetta Origins – Cereza and the Lost Demon:
“Long before she mastered the dark arts and became the one we know as ‘Bayonetta,’ our heroine once ventured into the Forbidden Forest of Avalon. By her side is Chouchou, the very first demon she bonded with, who resides in her comforter Play as both Cereza and Chouchou in a dangerous forest in search of a power that will allow Cereza to become her mother to rescue.
On the gameplay side, this one is very different from the three parts of bayonetwith graphics that are the opposite of previous works and combat that’s a little more watered down, but still with domestic animalthe plush of Cereza discovered in the first installment, and his (slightly different) demonic version held by viola In bayonet 3. A trailer that will definitely make your mouth water…
Our opinion on Bayonetta Origins – Cereza and the Lost Demon:
Just a few months after the release of the excellent bayonet 3which no doubt led to everyone agreeing on the quality of this beat’m’all on Nintendo Switch, platinum games offers a brand new story about the witch of Umbra since March 17th… Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon immerses you in a prequel to the adventures of bayonetwhen the witch was a child.
An interesting starting point that allows both fans of the franchise and newcomers to immerse themselves in these adventures. A desire for accessibility marked by the developers, both through graphics and an artistic direction aimed at the general public, with pastel colors and marked outlines, and through a gameplay that leaves room for leveling the difficulty of the actions throughout the game of the witch and her stuffed animal, at the whim of the players, so that everyone can try the opus without frustrating the casual gamer.
On the gameplay side, if you are a fan of Beat’m All then go your way as it completely changes and here is an opportunity for the players to control it Cereza And domestic animal at the same time asymmetrical: the Exit Joy-Con lets you control Cerezawith passive gameplay that only offers you to use magic to immobilize enemies and advance on the map while the Proper JoyCon lets you control domestic animal, with active gameplay that offers you to defeat the enemies encountered. Somewhat complex maneuverability when playing in hybrid mode on console, requiring some brain-hands synchronization (but not insurmountable either). In home console mode, it can be beneficial to play in pairs, each taking care of one character JoyCon dedicated.
On the story side, this one is inspired by Celtic folklore, by the fairies, enemies to defeat in the game while bringing a big touch ofAlice in Wonderland, Cereza must follow a white wolf (in the manner of Alice’s white rabbit) in an enchanted and labyrinthine forest. Her sidekick, Chouchou (Cheshire in English, it can’t be invented…) serves as the young girl’s protector as she finds her way around this “wonderland”.
How not to think about the franchise too The Legend of Zeldaso much Bayonet origins is inspired by it (or pays homage, it’s up to you), whether in the “Tir na Nog”, a kind of dungeon, in the chests and their little music at the opening (striking…) or even in the “Fragments of the Heart”, here represented by petals and with exactly the same function. Everything is being done to bring us back zeldaand it works, the opus integrates quite well the codes of the franchise from Nintendo to get the most out of it and offer an extremely interesting game, extremely well made and quite addictive.
A great introduction for newcomers and a chance to extend Cereza’s adventure a bit after the final installment in the saga, released at the end of October 2022.
