The secret is over! The participants of the 23rd edition of Big Brother Brasil will be announced by Globo this Thursday (12). As in previous years, the channel chose to unveil the new brothers and sisters gradually throughout the program.
The reality show’s first confirmed cast members were announced during a break in the morning session. These are Gabriel Tavares, 24, and Paula Freitas, 28, who attended the Casa de Vidro, held for the first time before the premiere of the program.
Next up was singer Aline Wirley (exRouge) the third name revealed by the channel. She is part of Camarote, a group of people who were famous before the program.
The commercials continued during Mais Você’s breaks. The fourth revealed was Cezar Black, who is 34 and a registered nurse. He hails from Salvador, Bahia and is part of the Pipoca group, made up of anonymous individuals.
After that, the fifth name announced by Globo was actress Bruna Griphao, 23 years old, from Camarote. She is known for soap operas like Nos Tempos do Imperador and Avenida Brasil.
The sixth announced was by Pipoca. It is Gustavo Benedeti, 27 years old and from Primavera do Leste in Mato Grosso. He is a farmer and a businessman.
The announcements continued after the local newscast, revealing the seventh entrant as well as a Camarote. This time it was digital influencer Fred, exhusband of Bianca Andrade, Boca Rosa, who also attended BBB 2020.
It took a little longer to meet the eighth contestant. During the break at Vale a Pena Ver de Novo it was time for another popcorn: gym teacher Larissa Santos, 24, who lives in Criciúma (SC).
Minutes later, the name of biomedical scientist Ricardo Camargo, 30, was announced as the ninth contestant, another popcorn. He was born in Aracaju (SE) but lives in Ribeirão Preto (Inland from São Paulo) where he works and helps residents of the periphery with emergency medical checkups.
The tenth to be announced was another from the Camarote group: model and activist Domitila Barros. At the age of 38 she was elected Miss Germany in 2022, although she was born in Pernambuco.
The next contestant, the 11th, was MMA fighter Antônio Carlos Coelho de Figueiredo Barbosa Júnior, better known as Cara de Sapato. Born in João Pessoa, Paraíba, he is 32 years old and was champion of the third edition of the reality show The Ultimate Fighter: Brasil, shown by Globo himself.
Next up was the audience’s turn to meet Popcorn Sarah Aline, 25 years old. Born in Osasco (Greater São Paulo), the psychologist works as a diversity analyst.
Another future occupant of the “most viewed house in the country” is Fred Nicácio, 35, a doctor and physiotherapist from Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ). He is part of Camarote and rose to fame as one of the hosts of the reality show Queer Eye Brasil on Netflix.
The 14th player announced was Key Alves, who has 47 million followers and is the volleyball player with the most fans on social media. She is 23 years old, hails from Bauru (inland SP) and is part of the Camarote group.
Then it was the turn of another, Marília Miranda, makeup artist, 32 years old and born in Rio Grande do Norte, although she lives in Osasco. “I have the blood of Maria Bonita,” Pipoca joked, saying that he has no intention of being a plant in the game.
The next announcement came from businessman Cristian Vanelli, also from Pipoca. He was born in Caxias do Sul (RS) at the age of 32, where he still lives today. He owns a Crossfit box.
Another participant who will be in the cast of the program is the singer Marvvila, who will appear as Camarote. The carioca is 23 years old and rose to fame after taking part in The Voice Brasil show on Globo itself.
Pharmacist Bruno Nogueira, from São José da Laje in inland Alagoas, was the next to have his name released. “I’m going to burn this house down,” the 32yearold participant promised, but says he has “a 25yearold face.”
The 19th contestant to be revealed came from another continent. This is Tina Calamba, born in Benguela, Angola. She is 29 years old and works as a marketing analyst and model.
GLASS HOUSE
Gabriel and Paula won their spots in a dispute with businesswoman Giovanna Leão, 25, and psychiatrist Manoel Vicente, 32. They were locked in an aquarium located in the Via Parque shopping center in Rio de Janeiro’s West Zone.
The man and woman voted the most by the public would join the cast of the show. The result should be announced in the coming days. The official premiere of BBB 23 is scheduled for next Monday (16).
